Fresh Pond Golf Course is excited to welcome golfers back to the course for the 2025 season! Whether you are a long-time season pass holder or new to the sport, we hope you will enjoy the beautiful, 9-hole municipal course located next to Fresh Pond Reservoir in West Cambridge.
If you're interested in learning golf or improving your technique, consider taking lessons at the course. Fresh Pond Golf Course staff specialize in instructing players of all abilities and teaching golfers how to swing in a way that works best for their bodies. The course offers lessons to Adults, Juniors (under the age of 18), and groups of 2-4 people (no age restriction).
Here are some highlights we are looking forward to this season:

Fresh Pond Golf Course Leagues begin in mid-April. The course’s PGA Jr. League includes 44 young people (two teams of ages 13 and under and one team of ages 17 and under).
- The course’s tournament schedule is set and posted on the website. Anyone who is a season pass holder or maintains their handicap at Fresh Pond can participate. - This summer, we will offer free Junior Golf clinics beginning in late June, open to any Cambridge resident 18 and younger. The course has golf clubs available for participants free of charge.To learn more or register, contact Tom Cusick at tcusick@cambridgema.gov
- Mid-September through late October, we will host PGA HOPE Cambridge, a free, 6-week program that serves veterans across New England with an emphasis on helping those with physical and emotional disabilities who would most benefit. Veterans can register on NEPGA.com.
- Fresh Pond’s Golf Director will continue partnering with Cambridge youth organizations, including a local Boy Scouts troop, to introduce young people to golf etiquette, instruction, and play.
