Adopt-a-Hydrant Program

The Cambridge Fire Department is asking for your help to support our city's firefighters in clearing fire hydrants after snowstorms. Our Adopt-a-Hydrant program lets you search for a hydrant near an address (your home, business, school, etc.) and commit to keeping it free of snow and accessible throughout the winter season.

The city has over 1900 hydrants. After a snowstorm, it takes time for firefighters to clear them all to ensure all are accessible in case of an emergency. With your help, we can keep that time to a minimum and keep everyone in Cambridge that much safer.  Please click on the link below if you'd like to help out.

Thank you!
