Cambridge's Rodent Control Program Offers Free Exterior Service to Residential Properties of Four or Less Units

To expand rodent control efforts in our community, the City of Cambridge has contracted with a private pest control company to offer an exterior residential rodent control assistance program as part of the City’s broader rodent control efforts.

This free program, which is available to residential properties with 4 or fewer units, provides inspection of exterior areas and at least 3 baiting/trapping/ follow-up inspections within a 60 day period at no cost to residents or property owners.

Since its launch in 2021, the program has provided free rodent control service to over 900 qualified properties. Many of these properties’ efforts were successful in solving their rodent problem by incorporating valuable Integrated Pest Management principles.

The City of Cambridge highly encourages more residents to participate in this free program to help combat rodent problems.
