Studio Recording 101 (Main)
Are you interested in podcasting, audio production, or video production? The Hive has two state-of-the-art recording studios! Join this workshop to become familiar with studio equipment and software. Registration is required.

Due to unforeseen circmstances, the Maker Studio is cancelled today. It will be rescheduled in future weeks.
Come to the Library to create something special! Use your own supplies or try out our equipment! You can use our 1-inch button maker, 2.5 inch button maker, 3-D Doodle pens, or Janome sewing machines. The Library will provide basic supplies.
This drop-in program is for people who feel comfortable using these machines on their own. The Library will not provide instruction. Anyone wishing to use the sewing machines must have completed a Sewing 101 training through the Library. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Vinyl Cutting 101 (Main)
Would you like to make your own vinyl signs, stickers, or images to transfer to T-shirts and other textiles? In this workshop, you can learn how to use our Roland Camm-1 GS-24 vinyl cutter. You can then design a sticker and cut it with our vinyl cutter! Registration is required.
You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop.
Hive Safety Training (Virtual)
In this workshop, you will learn about our makerspace, how to use our resources, and how to keep safe in The Hive. Registration is required. The Zoom link will be sent out an hour before the workshop starts.
Before taking in-person workshops in The Hive, all makers must bring signed copies of The Hive User Agreement and Waivers.

2050: Zero Transportation Emissions (MAIN)
Learn about the Net Zero Transportation Plan (NZTP) being created by The City of Cambridge to use only renewable energy by 2035 and reach zero emissions by 2050. This plan will help remove greenhouse gas emissions from transportation in Cambridge and help the community fight climate change.
The 10,000 Year Clock of the Long Now (Main)
Experience The Clock of the Long Now in this gallery exhibition. The Clock of the Long Now is being built by the Long Now Foundation inside a remote mountain in West Texas. It's designed to keep accurate time for 10,000 years. It's powered by the temperature change from day to night and synchronized to the correct time by a beam of sunlight that shines deep into the mountain. It's entirely mechanical, with a mechanism hundreds of feet tall.
