City Councillor Ayesha M. Wilson
Ayesha M. Wilson is currently serving her first term on the Cambridge City Council. She is a mom and a product of Cambridge Public Schools and Public Housing who has devoted her life to serving Cambridge youth. This led her to become a social worker and to serve two terms on the Cambridge School Committee.
Ayesha’s top priorities include Making sure the needs of the Black and Brown community are centered, Housing and childcare are affordable for individuals and families, create more robust opportunities for emerging adults, Mental health resources, and ensuring all students can read by the third grade and have a champion.
Ayesha is a member of the Greater Boston Association of Black Social Workers, Board of Directors for the YWCA Cambridge, and Secretary of the Cambridge Branch NAACP.
