The Cambridge Human Rights Commission (CHRC) has launched a new
online Discrimination Intake Form, accessible through the CHRC webpage, to enable folks who believe they have been discriminated against in Cambridge to file initial information with the Commission about the event and circumstances that they believe were discriminatory. CHRC’s Attorney/Investigator will follow up with individuals who have filed an intake form, to obtain needed details to enable the filing of a complaint, if warranted.
CHRC believes the online form will provide an additional, convenient method for folks to contact the Commission about their discrimination concerns.
Using the online form, the public can report four types of Discrimination:
- Housing: If you feel you have been discriminated against in your search for housing, while living in your current housing, or in any housing related transaction, such as applying for a mortgage in Cambridge.
- Public Accommodation: If you believe you have been discriminated against by a business, or a place open to the public in Cambridge.
- Employment: If you believe you have been discriminated against in your place of employment, by a labor organization, or by an employment agency in Cambridge.
- Education: If you believe you have been discriminated against by an educational facility in Cambridge. Some limitations apply, which can be discussed in more detail with Commission staff.
