The City of Cambridge announced that the annual Housing Resource Fair will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025. from 1-5 p.m. This year’s event will be held outdoors behind Cambridge City Hall, in conjunction with the Cambridge Economic Opportunity Council’s (CEOC) 60th Anniversary block party. Each year, local organizations and non-profits join departments across the City for an event that provides housing-related information and resources to community members. The event is sponsored by the Housing Department, the Department of Human Services, the Human Rights Commission and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Office of the Housing Liaison. Information will be available on topics including affordable rental and homeownership programs, housing rights and discrimination, financial assistance and eligibility, eviction resources, and more.
Partner organizations include affordable housing providers, nonprofits specializing in tenant-landlord mediation, tenant rights and legal support, energy efficiency and assistance.
Community members are invited to attend the event any time between 1-5 p.m. to learn about housing services and resources offered in Cambridge. On-site interpreters will be available in 8 different languages and hand-outs will be available in Amharic, Arabic, Bangla, French, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese. The Housing Resource Fair centers around fair and affordable housing for all, regardless of housing status. “We will have resources for people transitioning out of homelessness, people interested in buying their first home in Cambridge, renters looking for affordable housing, residents interested in electrifying their homes, and everything in between,” said Chris Cotter, Director of the Cambridge Housing Department. “This annual event is a one-stop-shop for all housing-related resources in Cambridge and it's wonderful to see the many ways in which we can support our community members.”
