About the Project
Through the Hampshire Street Safety Improvement Project, the City will add separated bike lanes to Hampshire Street, creating a more comfortable biking connection between Inman Square and the Port/Kendall Square. This "quick-build" project will change the layout of the street with new pavement markings, signs, and flex posts. We will also make improvements to existing crosswalks and changes to parking and loading.
The project area includes:
- Hampshire Street from Inman Square to Broadway
- One block of Broadway (from Hampshire Street to Portland Street)
