Parking and Traffic Impacts September 28-29:

  • Found Cambridge Block Party. The weekly Found Cambridge FOUND Block Party will take place on Saturday, September 28, from 12-5 p.m. Columbia St will be closed between Bishop Allen Drive & Main St from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Arts in the Park. The Department of Public Work's Arts in the Park event will take place on Saturday, September 28, 1-5 p.m., at Clement Morgan Park, 60 Columbia Street, Cambridge. The rain date is September 29th. Columbia Street from Washington Street to Bishop Allen Drive and Pine Street from School Street to Eaton Street will be closed from 11 am to 6 p.m.  Learn more.
  • Central Night Market. The Central Square BID's Central Square by Night Market will take place on Saturday, September 28, from 5-11 p.m. Sidney Street, between Green Street and Pacific Street, and Franklin Street, from Landsdowne Street to Brookline Place, will be closed from 12 p.m. - 2 a.m.
  • Smoke This Rib Fest. The East Cambridge Business Association's Smoke This Rib Fest will take place on Sunday, September 29, from 12-4 p.m. in East Cambridge. The event includes a rib competition, food, and live music. Cambridge Street will close between Fulkerson Street and Fifth Street, from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. There will be a detour for the 69 bus to avoid the closed section of Cambridge Street during this time. The 69 bus traveling to Lechmere will travel right on Fulkerson Street, left on Charles Street, left on Third Street, and right on Cambridge Street. The 69 bus traveling toward Harvard Square, will turn left on Fifth Street, right on Binney Street to Little Binney Street, right onto Cardinal Medeiros Avenue, and left onto Cambridge Street.   • Update 9-27-24 for Paddy's Cambridge Classic 5K Sunday, September 29, now beginning at 10:30 a.m. Streets along the route will now close from about 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Runners will also travel on Alewife Linear Path between Harvey Street and Rindge Avenue. A post-race block party in front of Paddy's Lunch will close Walden Street, between Garden Street and Sherman Street all day. Learn more.

* Walden Street between Garden Street and Raymond Street;
                * Raymond Street between Walden Street and Huron Avenue;
        * Huron Avenue between Raymond Street and Sherman Street;
                * Sherman Street between Huron Avenue and Rindge Avenue;
                * Rindge Avenue between Cedar Street and the Russel Field parking lot;
                * Cedar Street between Rindge Avenue and Harvey Street;
                * Harvey Street between Cedar Street and Alewife Linear Park

  • Harvard Square Black Owned Business Pop-up Market. The weekly Black Owned Business Pop-up in Harvard Square will take place on Palmer Street every Sunday from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Palmer Street will be closed Sunday, September 29, from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
