New Traffic Pattern - Wheeler St at Concord Ave

Beginning the week of September 30th 2024: The City of Cambridge will restrict left turns at Wheeler St and Concord Ave. Left turns both into Wheeler St and out of Wheeler St will be prohibited.

How will this impact me?

  • People crossing Wheeler St at Concord Ave will experience safer conditions with fewer conflicts.
  • Lefts out of Wheeler St may use the new traffic signal at Fawcett St.
  • Lefts off Concord Ave can use the rotary to reverse direction and turn right onto Wheeler St.

Why?

  • Wheeler St is now connected to the rest of the street network. Removing lefts will reduce conflicts and improve safety.
