On Saturday, May 27, 2017, at 9:00 a.m., the City of Cambridge’s Department of Veterans’ Services will decorate, with American Flags, the graves of Veterans interred in the War Lots of the Cambridge Cemetery. Assisting in the placing of flags will be members of the Cambridge Veterans’ Organization, Cambridge Boys Scouts, North Cambridge Little Leaguers and elected officials.
Regrettably, the Veterans’ Department is not able to decorate the graves of veterans buried in private lots. Grave Flags, however, will be available for family and friends at the following locations and times:
CAMBRIDGE VETERANS’ SERVICES, 51 Inman St., Cambridge, Second Floor Monday – 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday -Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12 Noon - May 15-19 and May 22-26.
CAMBRIDGE CEMETERY, 76 Coolidge Avenue, Main office, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. May 15-19 and May 22-26. On Saturday and Sunday, May 24 & 25th at the Cemetery entrance, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
MT. AUBURN CEMETERY, 580 Mt. Auburn St., GATE Information Office, Phone 617-547-7105 Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. May 16-27.
