Cambridge residents who are 60 and older are invited to free Blood Pressure Screenings offered by the Cambridge Public Health Department and the Council on Aging. Cambridge Public Health nurses will be available to take your blood pressure and provide information about how to reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke.

The screenings will be held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Cambridge Senior Center (806 Massachusetts Ave.) from 1 – 2 p.m. during the following dates:

  • April 2
  • May 7
  • June 4
  • July 2
  • August 6

No registration is needed; drop-ins are welcome. Wearing loose-fitting clothing or a short-sleeved shirt is recommended.

For more information, call the Council on Aging at 617-349-6220.

The Blood Pressure Screenings are sponsored by the Cambridge Public Health Department’s Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) unit. HEAL strives to create an environment that encourages all in Cambridge to eat healthy and be physically active in their everyday lives.
