A security assessment is a critical on-site examination and analysis designed to:
- Identify risks – an assessment of threats and risks
- Identify security-related vulnerabilities or deficiencies
- Determine level or nature of protection needed
- Make recommendations for security-related improvements
Security assessments may be completed for commercial/retail facilities, houses of worship, government buildings, public utilities, etc. Multiple members of the Cambridge Police Department have received formal training on how to conduct a security assessment and make recommendations.
If you would like to schedule a free security assessment with the Cambridge Police and a certified Crime Prevention Officer, please contact the Community Relations Unit by phone at 617-349-3236 or via email. We will come to your organization FREE of charge and conduct a “target-hardening” survey and offer advice on how to make your organization less susceptible to crime.
