Cambridge Police

Cambridge residents can be fingerprinted for gun permits, employment, security clearances, and immigration purposes at the Cambridge Police Department.

Requirements for Obtaining Fingerprint Cards?

  • Proof of Cambridge residency include recent utility bill, lease agreement, etc., listing applicant's name.
  • Must provide valid photo ID such as driver's license, State ID, student ID, Passport, military ID.
  • Please note: Fees are $15 per fingerprint card (Cash, Money Order, or Check only). Credit/Debit Cards are not accepted.
  • Four fingerprint card limit per appointment session; additional appointments need to be scheduled if more than 4 fingerprint cards are needed.

Fingerprinting for Immigration and naturalization purposes is not provided by the Cambridge Police Department. Please refer to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration website for more information.

Appointments can be made online. Fingerprint services are available Mondays between 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., Tuesdays-Thursdays between the hours of 2-4 p.m. by appointment only.  For questions or further assistance, please call 617-349-3347 or e-mail.
