Description
Join the Cambridge Commission on the Status of Women for our three-part tour series, Mapping Feminist Cambridge (MFC). Events are free, but space is limited and registration is required.
Each tour covers one Cambridge neighborhood square, Central, Inman, or Harvard Square. Tours highlight the impact local individuals and organizations had on the feminist movement between 1970s-1990s; covering racial equity, reproductive health care and abortion access, women in film and print, healing for survivors, lesbian and bisexual visibility, political collectives, folk music, entrepreneurship, and more. Register here.
Join us for a walk through Inman Square as we explore the feminist history of Cambridge 1970s-1990s.
Mark your calendar for the Harvard Square tour on October 24, followed by a community reception at Commonwealth Wine School to celebrate those who contributed to MFC: researchers, the Advisory Committee, and those who shared their personal stories. Registration is required.
