2023 Waste Reduction Efforts

We’re projecting we will be near 14.8 lbs/HH/wk for 2023. This is a relatively strong reduction compared to 2022 tonnages, considering we didn’t add more diversion programs; we simply emphasized more and better participation in current programs. Furthermore, we launched the Reduce & Reuse webpage, with the RACs help.

Notable changes to waste tonnages (January-October)

  Textiles   Food Waste  Recycling  Trash
 2022  131  1,522 6,974  11,009
 2023  212  1,763

6,911

 10,550
