- Reduce/Reuse webpage is active on City webpage. RAC Google Map is live!
- Zero Waste Master Plan—RFP deadline of 9/7. City reviewing bidders. Expected start date for ZWMP is Nov. 1.
Oct. 25: City Council hearing to discuss Zero Waste Master Plan improvements since 2017, and what may the next consultation look like after a consultant is selected.

3. Discussion of what RAC goals (40 min)
- How was everyone’s summers? Any thoughts on waste, recycling, compost in the City over the summer?
- Review of goals for 2023:
- 2016 (pre-Ordinance): Apprx 65% of bags used while grocery shopping were single-use bags.
- 2017 (post-ordinance): Apprx 34% of bags used were single-use bags.
- 2023: Apprx 40% of bags used were single-use bags.
- Compost outreach in Fall 2023. More than 4,500 kitchen bins have been distributed in 2023 thus far. Thanks for everyone’s help! Brainstorm events and ways to get more out to community.
- Compost sub-committee met over summer: questions for a dozen cities were drafted. The City working on researching what the City should be doing next regarding compost program.
- Focus on textiles/move-out during Winter.
