    • Pole and Conduit Commission Public Meeting

    • Aging with Mindfulness (Virtual)

      This 8 week program will introduce and utilize mindfulness techniques to help us examine and regulate everyday life changes with a focus on aging. Participants will learn and benefit from the development of a mindfulness practice to enable responding to getting older in a calm, clear and thoughtful manner. Led by Zeenat Potia, a meditation teacher with over 15 years of training and experience. Registration is required. This is a virtual event. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants 1 hour before the event.

Due to Early Voting, this week's Story Time will take place in the Children's Area of the Valente Branch Library.       We invite children and their caregivers for 20-25 minutes of stories and songs. Designed for children 18 months to 3 years and their caregivers. This program can accommodate 45 people. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The entire party must be present to receive a ticket. This program starts promptly.       Innovators for Purpose (iFp) Studio is a teen-powered design and innovation program where teens channel their energy and creative vision to imagine and build a better world. Blending art, design, science, technology, and storytelling within a social justice framework, teens engage in real-world client-sponsored projects.     • Puppetry Studio: Stop Motion Animation

      We will adapt the fairy tale “Hansel and Gretel” and perform our masterpiece for family and friends. Using a Gif-o-Graf, we will blend stop motion animation and puppetry techniques. This three-week puppetry workshop is for youth ages 10-13. No experience necessary! Registration is required.     • 3D Printing 101: Game Piece Design (Main)

      Learn how to create your favorite game piece in digital space and print it out using our Prusa 3D printers. Before taking this workshop: Complete Hive Safety Training Create a free Tinkercad account at www.tinkercad.com You will get hands-on experience running the 3D printer, gain fundamental 3D modeling skills using Tinkercad, and earn your 3D Printing certification for future reservations in The Hive. Create a Tinkercad account at www.tinkercad.com prior to arriving. Parents may need to assist users under the age of 18 to create an account prior to arriving. You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop.
