Come to the Cambridge Public Library Main Lecture Hall tonight at 6:30 p.m., 449 Broadway, to hear from Author Alysia Abbott.

After losing her mother in a car accident, Alysia Abbott grew up motherless in 1970s and ’80s in San Francisco with her father, an openly gay writer.

Her memoir, Fairyland, chronicles their relationship, and her experiences in the world of the artists, thinkers, and writers of the day provides a unique historical perspective of San Francisco.
