Getting an annual flu shot is the best way to protect yourself and your family. It’s not too late to get vaccinated—flu season in New England continues into March.
The Cambridge Public Health Department is offering free flu vaccine to adults and children (age 6 months and older) by appointment only on Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Thursdays, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the department's office, 119 Windsor Street, ground level.
To schedule an appointment, please call the health department at 617-665-3826. While there is no charge to the public for flu shots, people with health insurance are encouraged to bring their cards with them to the clinics. Vaccine will be offered as long as supplies last.
Flu vaccine is also available through pharmacies (for adults age 18 and older) and doctors’ offices. Flu shots are covered by most Massachusetts health insurance plans.
