Cambridge River Festival Saturday June 7
Central Square, Noon – 6 pm (on Mass Ave from Prospect to Sidney St).
Cambridge Arts Council takes the river to Mass Ave for the 35th Annual Cambridge River Festival. The Cambridge River Festival has occurred on the banks of the Charles River since its inception in 1977. This year, due to overlapping major construction projects and large scale events taking place on this historical footprint, Cambridge Arts has decided to celebrate our 35th Anniversary of the River Festival in the heart of the Central Square Cultural District.
This free event features live jazz, folk, roots and world music performances, dance, art demonstrations, family art-making activities and over 150 specialty food purveyors, craft folks and artisans! Working in partnership with the City of Cambridge, Central Square Business Association and many other public and private partners, the Cambridge River Festival presented by Cambridge Arts Council is one of the largest and most dynamic arts celebrations in New England, attracting 200,000 people annually.
