Cambridge White Ribbon Day

Domestic violence is an issue that affects every community. One in four women will experience intimate partner abuse in her lifetime (CDC, 2010). Domestic assaults accounted for 33% of all aggravated assaults in Cambridge in 2013 (Cambridge Police Dept. 2013 Annual Crime Report).

During the first week of March, Cambridge will be participating in the White Ribbon Day Campaign – an international initiative that invites people, specifically men and boys, to take a public stand against violence against women and to promote healthy masculinity.

Thursday, March 5 is the official White Ribbon Day in Massachusetts.

Individuals can take the White Ribbon Pledge and add their name to the growing number of men in Massachusetts who have joined this campaign.
