Taste of Cambridge skewers

Enjoy a Taste of Cambridge (TOC) now on its rescheduled rain date of Thursday, July 16, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., in the beautiful green sculpture gardens of University Park at MIT. The 13th annual event will feature 100+ local restaurants, local specialty butcher, cheese, honey, ice-cream, coffee purveyors and other refreshments, The Dirty Water Brass Band, celebrity DJ’s and dancing. The VIP Area is open from  5:30-9 p.m.

Each year, foodies descend upon the Taste of Cambridge to sample the delicious, creative, healthy and award-winning cuisine that enriches the culture of our city – and results in our being one of the best recognized restaurant destinations around.

Children and Families are welcome! Get the ultimate Tasting Ticket for the under 12 set (accompanied by a parent): there is so much to choose from, it’s hard for even the pickiest kid to resist! Kids Tasting Tickets are available for $15 each for children 6 to 12; kids under 6 are free.

Proceeds from this event benefit and provide support to local Cambridge non-profits doing direct service work in Cambridge in alcohol and drug prevention and treatment.  The TOC helps to support five non-profit alcohol and drug prevention and treatment programs each year: Past recipients include: Cambridge Camping, Food for Free, IHR, The Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House, and Transition House.

A Taste of Cambridge is accessible by Public Transportation a less than two blocks from the Central Square stop on the Red Line of the MBTA or via the #1 Bus that travels along Mass Ave between Boston and Cambridge.

The Taste of Cambridge (TOC), founded by the Cambridge License Advisory Board (CLAB), is produced by dedicated CLAB volunteers. CLAB works year-round to prevent underage drinking and to educate and support liquor license holders in their efforts to prohibit sales to minors. The TOC, in addition to being an extraordinary gastronomic experience, is also a charitable event! Our participating restaurants, sponsors, and volunteers present the best “Taste of” event to provide financial support to our beneficiaries!
