The Cambridge Consumers’ Council and the US Postal Service, in collaboration with the Office of Attorney General Maura Healey, the US Postal Inspectors, and the Department of Telecommunications and Cable are offering a free document shredding opportunity Saturday, Mar. 11, from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., in front of Cambridge City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Avenue, rain or shine.This event is being in recognition of National Consumer Safety Week.
Members of the public can securely dispose of personal and confidential paper documents. Documents will be destroyed on the spot in a highly advanced technical mobile shredding truck and sent for recycling. Limited drop-off parking will be available on Massachusetts Avenue, Bigelow Street, and Inman Street.
