City Manager's Advisory Committee Members Announced

After receiving interest from over 90 community members, City Manager Louis A. DePasquale has selected 16 members to serve on the new City Manager’s Advisory Committee.

“Serving my City and its residents is not just a job for me; it is a core value. The heart of our city’s vibrancy is its racial, cultural, political, and socioeconomic diversity. I believe welcoming diverse and varied opinions serves the City well and allows us to make solid decisions and achieve innovative progress” said City Manager DePasquale. “The City Manager’s Advisory Committee will help me strengthen my connection with the community.”

The City Manager’s Advisory Committee will meet at least quarterly to: discuss issues happening in the City; develop working relationships; work with organizations; bring different opinions to the table; and work to resolve problems in advance. Cambridge strives to make community input a vital component of the decision-making process by engaging and involving many different stakeholders.

The members appointed to the Committee are: Charles Aufiero, Sheila Headley Burwell, Eva Martin Blythe, Heather Esme Caramello, Ann Fleck-Henderson, Edward Hoff, Michelle Lower, Frank Pedro, Alexandra Photopoulos, Joshua Reyes, Susan Ruff, Dennis Scannell, Jr., Christopher Scott, Mohammed Uddin, Terry Shinkwin Ward, and Pastor Ellis Washington.

These members are broadly representative of many backgrounds including: small/local business community, large business community, non-profit community, neighborhood associations, higher education, arts community, primary/secondary education, public health and human services, housing advocacy, faith community, new immigrant/under represented communities, youth community, senior community, LGBTQ+ community, and mobility community (bike/transit/pedestrian).
