Expect Traffic Delays due to Multiple Events May 4-6 Weekend

A number of events, in and around Cambridge, including Walk for Hunger along the Charles River, Santo Cristo Feast in Wellington-Harrington neighborhood, and MayFair in Harvard Square will cause traffic delays this weekend.

Santo Cristo Festival, May 4-6, 6-11 p.m., Saint Anthony's Parish, Wellington-Harrington area 
Traffic Impact:
400 Cardinal Medeiros Ave Cambridge – Cardinal Medeiros will be closed
Two processions:
May 5 starting at 5pm and leaving Saint Anthony Parish on Cardinal Medeiros Ave, then onto Hardweck, Berkshire, Cambridge, and then back to the Church
May 6 starting at 2pm and leaving Saint Anthony Parish on Cardinal Medeiros Ave, then onto Plymouth, then Windsor, Cambridge, then back to the Church.

Facing Cancer Together's 5k/10k Walk/Run, Saturday, May 5, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Google at Kendall Square
Traffic Impact:
Ames Street, Memorial Drive, Main Street, Third Street, Cambridge Street

Spring Fling, Saturday, May 5, 9-3 (Spring Street closed)
 

67th Annual BBN Circus, Saturday, May 5, 11am-3pm (Buckingham St. closed)

Turkish Youth and Sports Day Celebration Parade, May 5, 11a.m.-1 p.m. 
Traffic Impact:
Parade will start at Boston Esplanade and continue on Mass Ave Bridge to MIT location, Mass Avenue/Amherst Alley

Project Bread's 50th Walk for Hunger & 5K Run Sunday, May 6, 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. 
Memorial Drive along Charles River and Mass Ave Bridge

Thousands of residents from around the state will participate in the country's oldest pledge walk, which begins and ends at the Boston Common and weaves through Boston (Back Bay, Kenmore Square, and Allston), Brookline, Newton (Chestnut Hill, Newton Centre, and Newton Corner), Watertown, and Cambridge. 

Plan your travel around Greater Boston on May 6 with this guide to road closures as well as recommended parking and T stops for participants.  

Cambridge Traffic Impacts:
•Expect delays at the intersection of Greenough Blvd. and Gerry’s Landing Rd. at the Eliot Bridge and Cambridge Boat Club from 9:30am-5:30pm. Right lane will be closed. 
•Memorial Drive between Fresh Pond Parkway and Western Ave. will be closed to vehicular traffic from 11:00am – 7:00pm 
•Expect slow moving traffic on Memorial Drive from Western Ave. to Mass Ave. from 9:30am-5:30pm. 
•Expect delays at all intersecting streets. 
•Expect delays on Mass Ave. Harvard Bridge inbound to Boston from 9:30am -5:30pm.
•Parking restrictions at Marsh Post, Cambridge Boat Club, Riverside Boat Club, and Magazine Pool Horseshoe Driveway 

MayFair Harvard Square Sunday, May 6 6 a.m.-9 p.m.
Traffic Impacts due to events in Harvard Square and Winthrop Park (12-9 p.m.)

Central Flea, University Park Every Sunday, 11 a.m-5 p.m.
