A special COVID-19 edition of the biannual CityView Newsletter was mailed to Cambridge households on the week of May 18. This issue includes a an overview message from Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and City Manager Louis A. DePasquale in eight languages, a summary on how the Mayor's Disaster Relief Fund (MDRF) distributed over $3.6 million in emergency assistance to 1,600 Cambridge individuals and families. Additionally, Cambridge small businesses received over $2 million in support through the MDRF and Community Development Block Grants, as well as $1.5 million in Zero interest small business loans through a collaboration with Cambridge Redevelopment Authority.
The CityView issue also includes an update on how the City has been supporting its more vulnerable residents and engaging with students, youth, families, and seniors virtually, continuing to provide classes and programming.
