The City of Cambridge honored the recipients of the 2021 City of Cambridge Scholarship during a virtual ceremony on June 7, 2021.
This year, the city awarded 80 scholarships of $3,000 each for a total $240,000 to Cambridge high school seniors and others pursuing higher education. Since the program’s inception in 1993, the city has awarded 1,188 scholarships totaling $2.9 million.
The City of Cambridge gratefully acknowledges the generous contributions of our residents and local businesses to the City of Cambridge Scholarship Fund. We especially want to thank Northern Trust, The Long Island Community Foundation, the Bruce Foundation, and the Estate of Elizabeth Burren for their significant contributions to the Scholarship Fund. Additional thanks to the members of the Scholarship Committee who volunteer their time to carefully review the applications and select our recipients.
"We were so pleased to be able to provide this financial support to our recipients as they pursue their higher education goals,” said Cambridge City Manager Louis A. DePasquale. “As always, we are very grateful to our generous residents and corporate donors for their continued support of this very important program.”
