Join the Pedestrian Committee on June 11th for its third annual summer stroll "Walkable West Cambridge"! More details here.

Most Cantabrigians know bustling Harvard Square, but how many know about new and soon to be renovated cityscapes just to the west, or little known pedestrian cut-throughs between streets? The Cambridge Pedestrian Committee's third annual walk will take you from Cambridge Common to Fresh Pond Parkway and back, meandering past new features and old estates, along narrow footpaths and through open spaces. Explore a neighborhood you thought you knew.

If you missed last year's walk, which featured the North Point area, you can now follow along with our new interactive Story Map!

The Cambridge Pedestrian Committee works to create a more comfortable, safe, and pleasant environment for walking in Cambridge. It advises on the design of projects and helps develop policies and design guidelines related to people walking.
