Citywide Urban Design Guidelines Open House and Exhibition

Coming soon, the Community Development Department is excited to present draft urban design guidelines for the City of Cambridge. The final document, called "Shaping Our City: Citywide Urban Design Guidelines for Cambridge" is a compilation of guidelines meant to help maintain and strengthen Cambridge's character as a beautiful, diverse, livable, culturally rich, and pedestrian-friendly city.

Stay tuned for the release of the draft report, and please join us at an open house and exhibition to review the draft materials and provide your feedback!

Open House, Tuesday, March 25 

Join us Tuesday, March 25, from 5 – 7:30 p.m. at the Main Branch Library (499 Broadway).   
 
Key information from the Urban Design Guidelines will be on display. Project staff will be available for questions and to receive feedback.   
 
There will be food and drinks. Stop by any time between 5 - 7:30 p.m.  

Exhibition, March 26 - April 9 

After the open house, the displays will remain on view on the first floor or the Main Branch library for community members to review and provide feedback at their own convenience. 

The exhibition will be up from Wednesday, March 26th through Wednesday, April 9th. Stop by any time during the library's regular open hours: 

  • Sunday: 1 - 5 p.m. 
  • Monday - Thursday: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. 
  • Friday - Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
