3rd Alarm fire Box 3-23 49 Webster Av

Three alarms were ordered, Box 3-23, for the fire in the 3-story residence at 49 Webster Av. Approximately 70 firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the fire in this very congested neighborhood. Time of the initial alarm was 724 a.m. Sadly one resident succumbed to injuries. Several other residents were displaced by the fire. 

In addition to Cambridge Fire companies, Somerville Fire companies assisted at the fire. Firefighters from Arlington, Belmont, Boston, Brookline, Waltham, & Watertown covered in Cambridge and responded to other, unrelated emergencies during the fire.
