Update on the Reconstruction of Fire Headquarters

The total reconstruction of the Fire Headquarters building at 491 Broadway continues on schedule.

Photos from Monday, 7 April 2025 show the progress of the site work, infrastructure improvements and interior construction. The pouring of the concrete for the apparatus floor is scheduled for next week and much of the interior wall studding is now in place. The new Data Center has been installed and is now fully operational.

This building, the home of Engine 1, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Fire Prevention, Tech Services, the Command Staff and Administrative Offices, was originally occupied in February of 1934.
