City Manager Richard C. Rossi has announced the appointment of Monica R. Lamboy as the Interim Director of the Traffic, Parking, and Transportation Department effective November 14, 2014. Ms. Lamboy will serve until such time as the new full-time Director is in place and will be responsible for ensuring continuity in the daily operations and management of the department.
The City is actively engaged in the process of recruiting and hiring a new full-time Director of Traffic, Parking, and Transportation to replace Sue Clippinger who is retiring after 20 years of service to the City of Cambridge. Information on applying for the Director’s position can be found at http://www2.cambridgema.gov/jobopenings.cfm
Ms. Lamboy brings over twenty five years of senior management experience in municipalities from across the country and holds a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of California Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Princeton University. Ms. Lamboy has much experience in assignments of this nature and will report directly to the Deputy City Manager.
Sue Clippinger will continue providing— in a limited role— technical advice and guidance to the Planning Board on traffic and transportation matters.
