Cambridge Pedestrian Committee Walk
Saturday, June 20, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
“North Point: A hidden gem”

Meet at Lechmere Canal Park, at the Gazebo in front of the fountain behind Cambridgeside Galleria

Join the Pedestrian Committee for its second annual summer stroll! This time we are headed to North Point, which many people do not know is actually in Cambridge. Explore the hidden gem of North Point Park, with walkways and bike paths, water play and playground, connection to Charlestown, and new views of the Boston skyline.

See the easy walking connection via the multi-use path under the Gilmore Bridge, connecting to more park space, new development, and eventually to Somerville. You will see new buildings, the site of the relocated Lechmere T Station, and the set for the skateboard park going into construction.

Through the course of this free, 90-minute walk, you'll discover the "ins and outs" of the area, learn about its history, and hear about exciting projects that will continue to shape the landscape.

Light refreshments will be provided by Lingo, EF Education’s restaurant located at their building.
