Cambridge’s Council on Aging is hosting the public forum “Protecting Your Finances and Personal Wellbeing” Thursday, June 18, 12-3 p.m., at the Cambridge Senior Center, 806 Massachusetts Avenue. Lunch will be provided for registered guests.
Opening remarks will be provided by Susan Pacheco, Executive Director of the Cambridge Council on Aging, David Maher, Mayor of Cambridge, and Marian Ryan, the Middlesex District Attorney.
The event’s activities will open with a performance by True Story Theater from Arlington. The improvisational theater group will act out scenarios that senior citizens may face that impact their financial and personal well-being.
A panel of experts from the Cambridge Consumers’ Council, the East Cambridge Savings Bank, Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services’ Protective Services Program, and the Cambridge Police Department will present on issues that affect the lives of seniors. Following the panel will be a short Question and Answer session.
