After five years and over 3 million visitors, Cambridge Public Library will close August 17-23 for restoration and upgrades that cannot be done while open.
The system's five open branches—Boudreau (245 Concord Ave), Central Square (45 Pearl St), Collins (64 Aberdeen Ave), O'Neill (70 Rindge Ave), and Valente (826 Cambridge St)—will be open regular hours. The O'Connell Branch (48 Sixth St) is currently closed for renovation.
We look forward to re-opening on August 24 with refinished wood floors, additional electrical outlets on the Research Floor, re-painted walls, relamped light fixtures and reconfigured check-in and check-out areas.
