U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Julián Castro today met with Cambridge Mayor David Maher and City Manager Richard C. Rossi to tour Putnam Green, a local sustainable affordable rental development in Cambridge. Also joining them on the tour was Peter Daly, Executive Director of Cambridge Neighborhood Apartment Housing Services, Ellen Semonoff, Assistant City Manager for the City’s Department of Human Services and Newton Mayor Setti Warren, Chair of the US Conference of Mayors.
Cambridge has long stood out as an example of what a city can do when it is committed to affordable housing.
