On Friday, June 23, from 5-11 p.m., Mass. Ave. will be closed to traffic from Brookline to Prospect St. for the Dance Complex’s third annual Festival of Us, You, We & Them. Traffic will be detoured in the area and motorists should expect delays. The MBTA will continue bus service, but it will be detoured. Riders can catch the #1 bus at the Mass Ave/Sydney and Mass Ave/Pleasant St. stops. The Mass Ave/Pearl St. stop will be closed during the event on Friday.
The festival, which will celebrate the Dance Complex’s 25th anniversary, will include a night of dancing, dance lessons, a fashion show, live music, the 25,6,7,8 Flash Mob and “Dance Happens Here,” a five-story illumination show on the facade of the Dance Complex building at 536 Mass Ave. The Dance Complex will also host a series of performances, workshops and demonstrations throughout the day June 24-25.
