Weekend Traffic Impacts from Multiple Events May 4-5

Expect traffic impacts in several areas of the City due to multiple events:
   
Memorial Drive and Adjacent Streets -- Walk for Hunger Sunday, May 5, 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The Cambridge portion of the Walk will be on Memorial Drive, which is owned and operated by the Dept. of Conservation and Recreation. Memorial Drive is closed to traffics on Sundays from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Event begins and ends at the Boston Common and weaves through Boston (Back Bay, Kenmore Square, and Allston), Brookline, Newton (Chestnut Hill, Newton Centre, and Newton Corner), Watertown, and Cambridge. Walkers will be on Memorial Drive, which is closed on Sundays from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., between Western Ave. and Mount Auburn St.

Cambridge area impacts
Drivers are asked to use extreme caution and expect delays on Galen Street, North Beacon and Greenough with Walkers crossing the street from 8:00am – 4:00pm. 
Expect delays at the North Beacon St. Bridge from 8:30am-4:00pm. 
Greenough Boulevard between North Beacon and Arsenal Streets closed from 8:00am-4:00pm. 
Drivers are asked to use extreme caution on Arsenal St. at the intersection of Greenough Boulevard where Walkers will cross from 8:30am-4:00pm. 
Greenough Boulevard Westbound to Cambridge will have the right lane closed from 8:30am-6:00pm.

Susan G. Komen Massachusetts More than Pink Walk Saturday, May 4
, 9 a.m. The two-mile walk will take place throughout DCR North Point Park (6 Museum Way) and Paul Revere Park. Impacted roads include Education St., Education Circle, North Point Blvd, Museum Way

Kennedy Longfellow School 10th Annual Spring Fling Saturday, May 4, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Event is based at 158 Spring St. Spring Street will be closed.
