Summer Classic 5K Road Race August 19

The Summer Classic 5K road race will take place Thursday, August 19 at 6:30 p.m. starting on Sydney Street. Expect traffic impacts in the Cambridgeport and Central Square areas, including Sydney, Franklin, Brookline, Valentine, Pearl, River, Putnam, Henry, Pacific and Albany Streets.

The race will start and finish at the BioMed Courtyard located at 45 Sidney St. While the roads will not be closed on the course, with the exception of Sidney St, from the corner of Franklin St to the corner of Pacific St, from 5:45pm-7:30pm, there may be some traffic disruptions at the following times and places:

Mass Ave from Sidney St to Albany St from 6:30pm-6:35pm
Albany St from Mass Ave to Pacific St from 6:32pm-6:39pm
Pacific St from Albany St to Sidney St from 6:33pm-6:40pm
Sidney St from Pacific St to Henry St from 6:34pm-6:43pm
Henry St to Brookline St from 6:36pm-6:45pm
Brookline St from Henry St to Putnam Ave from 6:38pm-6:47pm
Putnam Ave from Brookline St to River St from 6:39pm-6:52pm
River St from Putnam Ave to Franklin St from 6:39pm-6:56pm
Franklin St from Putnam Ave to Pearl St from 6:42pm-7:00pm
Pearl St from Franklin St to Valentine St from 6:42pm-7:01pm
Valentine St from Pearl St to Brookline St from 6:43pm-7:02pm
Brookline St from Valentine St to Brookline St from 6:43pm-7:05pm
