Cambridge Fire and Water Departments will work together in this process. Engine 3 (East Cambridge) and Engine 8 (Taylor Square) will test their districts first.
The Universal Design Playground which opened at Danehy Park in December 2021, is being named in honor of Cambridge City Manager Louis A. DePasquale. This 30,000 square foot play area is the first playground in Cambridge to fully incorporate Universal Design (UD) - the concept that all parts should be as usable as possible, without changes, by everyone. In addition to physical accessibility, UD takes sensory, cognitive, and emotional abilities into consideration to create an environment that is welcoming to all people to the greatest extent possible.
The City of Cambridge announced the May schedule for its 7 days per week COVID-19 testing program, including walk-in and expanded appointment-based testing options. Appointment-only testing, provided through a partnership with CIC Health, is now available to people who live or work in Cambridge during any available appointment times, 7 days per week, at CIC Health’s 295 Third Street location during their regular operating hours
