The City of Cambridge announced it has begun distribution of over 21,000 at-home test kits to prioritized high risk and disproportionately impacted populations in Cambridge. The City received this allocation of iHealth Labs COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
A beloved apple tree will sprout new life through the process of tree grafting and mature pin oaks will be transformed into interactive sculptures as part of a public art project from the firm IKD that is planned for the City of Cambridge’s Tobin Montessori and Vassal Lane Upper Schools complex.
City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Thursday and Friday, December 23-24, in observance of the Christmas holiday and on Friday, December 31, in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will occur on its regular schedule throughout the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Street cleaning will occur per its regular schedule on Thursday, Dec. 23. There will be no street cleaning on Friday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 31. The makeup day for Friday, Dec. 24 street cleaning will be Wednesday, Dec. 29.
Vaxabilities, a partnership led by the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Network and including state agencies, major clinical centers throughout the Commonwealth and other professional groups, will be hosting a series of disability-friendly COVID-19 vaccination events across Massachusetts
