This week is Bay State Bike Week and the Cambridge Police and Community Development Departments are once again leading or participating in a wide variety of initiatives and events intended to increase the safety of all people who walk, bicycle, drive or walk.
After investigating an illegally parked motor vehicle in front of a pharmacy in Central Square, a 24-year-old Cambridge man was arrested by CPD this morning and faces several charges, including Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License.
On May 30, 2018, the MBTA will be holding a public meeting from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (459 Broadway), to gather public feedback, better understand bus service gaps in Cambridge, and update the Community on the Better Bus Project at large.

Beginning on Monday, May 21st the City’s contractor, P. Gioioso & Sons will begin work on Fern Street to remove and replace the existing hardscape mounds with earthen and landscaped mounds.
Four DPW employees who demonstrated exemplary work performance have been chosen to be recognized with the presentation of the "Commissioner's Award for Outstanding Performance" at a ceremony and cookout scheduled for Wednesday, May 23, at Public Works.
