Participatory Budgeting is a democratic process in which community members directly decide how to spend part of a public budget. For this next process, the City will set aside $700,000 for capital projects to improve the community.
City Manager Richard C. Rossi has announced the appointment of Superintendent Christopher Burke as Acting Commissioner of the Cambridge Police Department. Burke takes over for Commissioner Robert C. Haas, who retired effective Friday, May 6, 2016 after leading the department for nine years.
