Beginning Monday, March 28th, Lakeview Avenue (Brattle to Huron) will be closed, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to through traffic, in order to facilitate water main work.
A suspect, who was wanted in connection with a series of blank gunshot incidents between December 30 and March 13, has been arrested for a warrant out of Cambridge District Court.
The Department of Public Works will begin street sweeping operations on Friday, April 1. Cambridge’s monthly street sweeping operations run from April through December each year. In addition to neighborhood sweeping, City squares are cleaned daily by both mechanical street sweepers and by hand crews.
To help advance the work and improve pedestrian safety in the area, a road closure will be implemented on Green St between Pearl and Magazine beginning on Monday, April 4 and is anticipated to continue for two weeks to allow more room for the contractor to complete the sewer main replacement.
This scenic, flat, tree-lined course starts and finishes at the Russell Youth Center located at 680 Huron Ave in Cambridge. Two miles into the race the course runs along the perimeter of the Fresh Pond Reservoir - away from cars and distractions. The race has been Race measured and certified by the officials at the U.S.A.T.F.

All dog over 6 months must be licensed annually. The dog license period is from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017. Owners must have a current rabies vaccination. A Rabies Vaccination Clinic will be held Saturday, Apr. 2, from 9-11 a.m., at Cambridge Department of Public Works, 147 Hampshire St. The fee is $15 per dog. Microchipping is also available for $20.
The Cambridge Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred between two male parties known to each other this morning at approximately 8:07 a.m. on Church Street.
