The City of Cambridge Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to eligible Cambridge residents who wish to pursue post-secondary education. With the increasing cost of higher education as well as continued economic uncertainty, these scholarships help ease the financial burden for many Cambridge individuals and families.
Any voter who is unable to go to the polls on Election Day due to physical disability, religious belief, or absence from the City may request an Absentee Ballot from Cambridge Election Commission. The deadline to apply for an Absentee Ballot is Monday, Feb. 29, at Noon.
The Cambridge community is cordially invited to a grand opening celebration and tour of the city’s first near net zero school building. The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. School complex, at 100 Putnam Avenue, houses the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School and the Putnam Avenue Upper School – as well as the Department of Human Service Programs’ Preschool, After-School, and Community School programs.
The Housing Division of the city’s Community Development Department will be holding Rental and Homeownership Information Sessions in February and March. Programs are free and open to the public. No RSVP is necessary.
The Caucus of Women Legislators is organizing a Diaper Drive from Monday, Feb. 22 through Wednesday, Mar. 2. Stop by Cambridge Fire Department's Taylor Square Firehouse, 113 Garden St., to drop off unopened disposable diapers and/or baby wipes to help infants and families in need.
As part of the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s Local Cultural Council Program, Cambridge Arts makes annual awards to support arts and culture in the City.
