The City of Cambridge is seeking poems for its 2023 Sidewalk Poetry Contest. Five winning poems will be imprinted into the fresh concrete of new sidewalks around the city beginning this fall. Winners will also each receive a $100 prize.
The Cambridge Police Department has added its first all-electric vehicle to its service fleet in support of the City's Clean Fleet Initiative and Climate Action Plan (CAP).
In observance of the Presidents Holiday on Monday, February 20, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed. Curbside trash, recycling, and compost collection will be suspended on the holiday and one day behind for the rest of the week.

The Task Force will also evaluate possibilities for new housing to be more LGBTQ+-friendly. The Task Force will issue a final report with concrete recommendations and action plans for ensuring LGBTQ+ housing access, safety, and inclusivity in Cambridge.
Expect traffic impacts in the East and Mid Cambridge neighborhoods between 10:00-11:00 a.m. Both the 5K and 5-mile race will start in Kendall Square on Linskey Way.
