Cost: $110,000

Location: To be determined based on need, impact, and space availability.

Short Description: Exercise is crucial to health and wellbeing. This project will install a permanent outdoor fitness station to make outdoor exercise more accessible to the Cambridge community.

Long Description:

Physical activity is a crucial aspect of health and wellbeing and many Cambridge residents are looking to stay fit and maximize their time outside. This project will install a permanent outdoor fitness station to make exercise more accessible to the Cambridge community. Outdoor workout equipment would include strength training, upper body exercises, pull up bars, push up bars, gym rings, etc.

The long-term goal is for all neighborhoods in the City to have access to this free gym equipment, which is to be usable by all youth, adults, and seniors. This is especially important now, during COVID. It will help us all keep ourselves in better shape/health! Providing the community with public gym equipment would be beneficial for the health of everybody.
