Trees for Danehy Park and Cambridge

Short Description: Trees provide many benefits like shade, wildlife habitat, and natural beauty. Trees also help with carbon storage, stormwater control, and improved air quality. This proposal will plant new trees in Danehy Park and other needed areas around Cambridge.

Long Description:
This proposal will plant new trees in Danehy Park, around Alewife T-stop and in other areas of Cambridge as determined by the city. Trees provide cooling shade, wildlife habitation, beautification, carbon storage, stormwater control, and improved air quality. The City will plant trees in areas with less than 25% of tree coverage and in areas requested by residents.
