A preliminary analysis of the serious crime statistics for 2024 points to a 12% increase in the Part One index total for Cambridge when compared with 2023. In 2024, there were 3,624 serious crimes reported in the City. For the same time period in 2023, the combined total for Murder, Rape, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Larceny & Auto theft was 3,232 incidents, 392 fewer than 2024. A 27% rise in the crime index was also registered when measured against the five-year weighted average. Read more.
